Problems

The K-Pop industry faces a complex web of challenges where artists struggle with limited revenue from streaming while under strict corporate control, even as fans demand constant content updates. Meanwhile, widespread skepticism toward Web3 technologies creates additional barriers to implementing innovative solutions for artist monetization and fan engagement, requiring careful navigation to build trust and demonstrate value.

Solutions

We propose a phased approach starting with a centralized digital hub that connects fans directly with artists, featuring an official marketplace for digital collectibles like photo cards. This platform addresses multiple issues by creating new revenue streams for artists while satisfying fans' demand for content and engagement.

To overcome Web3 skepticism, we'll begin with familiar Web2 features, gradually transitioning to blockchain-based ownership and transactions, allowing both artists and fans to comfortably adapt to the new technology while building trust in the ecosystem.

B2B Strategy for Momentibles

Momentibles bridges the gap between entertainment companies and their fans through our digital collectibles platform. We've successfully brought 3 entertainment agencies and over 25 artists ( Stray Kids, J Hope, Aespa, Enhypen) onto our platform, making it easier for them to manage their digital presence and connect with fans.

Our platform gives entertainment companies everything they need in one place. They can upload content for multiple artists, create customize digital collectibles and see how fans interact with their content. What used to take weeks now takes just days - agencies can get their artists set up and selling digital collectibles quickly and easily.

This business-focused approach has made Momentibles an essential tool for entertainment companies looking to expand their digital presence and create new revenue streams through digital collectibles.

Quarter 1 2023: Research, Discovery & Project Planning

Project Structure & Timeline
Our team established an accelerated 6-month timeline to deliver Golden Moments, a groundbreaking Web3 NFT marketplace for K-Pop digital collectibles. Research revealed a thriving unofficial market where fans spent up to $200 on homemade photo cards, validating our platform's potential. We structured the team with 3 developers and 3 designers, focusing on creating a central hub for K-Pop activity that would revolutionize fan engagement through blockchain technology.

Market Research & Design
Using tools like Figma, Adobe Suite, and Miro, we conducted comprehensive user research to understand K-Pop fan behaviors and needs. Our research uncovered four key challenges: fragmented fan experiences, passive engagement, isolated communities, and digital collectible management. We developed "How might we" questions to address these challenges, such as connecting fans with artists meaningfully and ensuring authenticity in digital collectibles. The innovative concept of camera-themed digital photo cards, inspired by disposable cameras, emerged during this phase.

Risk & Planning
Our Golden Moments project addressed the fragmented K-Pop fan experience by creating a blockchain-based platform for authentic digital collectibles. Through comprehensive analysis of market needs, technical requirements, and legal considerations, we developed a strategic framework that balanced blockchain integration with user accessibility. After studying competitors like Sunmiya Club and NBA TopShots, we designed key features including digital/physical photo card collection, an interactive collectibles hub, and metaverse integration, while ensuring secure digital transactions and proper artist IP management. Our detailed user flow mapping encompassed wallet integration, marketplace exploration, and community engagement features, setting a strong foundation for efficient project execution.

Quarter 2 2022: Deep Research & Platform Development

Core Development
We implemented a comprehensive design system with an 8pt grid structure to ensure consistent visual harmony across the platform. The development focused on creating a unified and cohesive look while maintaining strict accessibility standards through our carefully selected color palette. It's important to implementing a design system from the beginning to save us time. Key features included Stripe payment integration, challenge pages, and streamlined user flows based on heatmap analytics.

Design Implementation
Our design process emphasized wireframing and prototyping, creating blueprint-like representations of the platform's pages. The team developed interactive prototypes to test user journeys through the digital collectibles marketplace, challenges, leaderboards, and governance sections. We implemented a "Monopoly-inspired" collection system where gathering three identical cards grants users opportunities for exclusive prizes.

Testing & Integration
Through iterative testing and refinement, we continuously improved the homepage, challenge pages, and overall user experience. We focused on optimizing navigation and data accessibility based on user feedback. The platform was designed to balance Web2 familiarity with Web3 innovation, ensuring a user-friendly experience while preparing for future blockchain integration.

Quarter 3 2022: Full Platform Launch & Community Growth

Final Development
The team focused on perfecting the three core features: Digital/Physical Photo Card Collection for verification and authenticity, Interactive Collectibles Hub for challenges and trading, and Metaverse Integration for global fan connection. We implemented comprehensive user support systems and security measures to protect both artist IP and user interests.

Launch Execution

The platform launched with a strong focus on user education and accessibility, featuring simplified onboarding processes and clear documentation. We maintained a Web2-style interface for immediate user comfort while preserving our capability for future Web3 integration. The launch included all core features while establishing a foundation for future community growth.

Post-Launch & Future Planning
Post-launch activities centered on gathering user feedback and implementing rapid iterations. We developed a roadmap for expanding features like virtual concerts through the "Global Fandom Connection" feature and enhanced community governance tools. The team continued to refine the platform based on user interaction data and community feedback.

Design System

The design system provides a unified and cohesive look and feel to the entire platform, ensuring that elements like typography, colors, icons, and spacing are consistently applied across all screens and components. This consistency not only enhances the platform’s aesthetics but also makes it more intuitive for users to navigate and interact with.

To decide what needs to be a compenents helps with consistances and organziation. This also helps out the engineer team.

The 8pt grid system, in particular, plays a crucial role in structuring the layout and alignment of elements, creating a harmonious and visually pleasing user interface. It simplifies the design process, streamlining the placement of elements and maintaining a sense of order and balance. This systematic approach not only improves the overall user experience but also facilitates the scalability and maintainability of the platform as it continues to evolve.

Conclusion

We carefully designed Golden Moments to be easy to use. We focused on the main pages people see first, like the home and challenge pages. We also looked at how users moved between areas. Our goal was clear navigation so people could find what they wanted fast.
